“The best way to predict the future is to create it” – Abraham Lincoln.
You are making your own future. If you want it to be successful, you should start working hard and planning for it now.
To help the students in deciding and preparing for their future job, the school held the Career week last August 6-10, 2018. It officially started when the selected members from Campus Ministry and Peer Facilitator’s Society had led the Flag Ceremony on Monday (August 6, 2018). The Peer Facilitator’s Society also led the noontime-playtime for the Primary and Elementary pupils. The said clubs also organized and prepared different classroom activities started last August 7, 2018 (Tuesday) which were also inclined in developing the students’ preferred work in the near future such as; Career Bingo, Career Talk (for the Grade 7 & 8 Students), and Job Shadowing (for the selected Grade 9 Students). The Grade 10 students had also experienced their Mock Job Fair in which they had their interviews and psychological test which started from August 8-9, 2018 (Wednesday and Thursday).
On the last day of the Career Week, August 10, 2018, the students were wearing their career outfit for the whole day. There were various outfits worn by the students like; a lawyer, a doctor, a nurse, an architect, an engineer, a police officer, a firefighter, a politician, a teacher and more. The essence of this school activity is to hone the students’ headway and actions taken throughout a lifetime.
A career is often composed of the jobs held, titles earned and work accomplished over a long period of time, rather than just referring to one position. Nevertheless, this activity is conducive for the students to be inspired to work hard and dream big for their goals and to be prepared for their future job.
