1ST DAPRISA LitMus Fest

Philippine Nikkei Jin Kai International School bagged awards in the first DAPRISA Literary-Musical Festival. Eurel Bandoy and Lyra Paguirigan were declared as the champion in the duet competition while Bruce Andy Cruz got the third place in the instrumental solo competition. The school’s participants for battle of the bands which was composed of Johan Christian Lestojas, Celso Pinol, Renzo Polino, Jesse Anthony Arana, Vincent Verano and Gaven Bartolome, bagged the third place. Modern dance participants Ken Cyzar Tongco, Charlotte Doble, Junick Chavez, Francisco Hingania III, Kaye Marielle Atacador, Jenber Chrizel Mamaril , though did not bag an award but extra ordinary performance was showcased to the amazement of the spectators. Superb performance was also given by An’harra Benabese in the song solo competition. Magnificent performance of Mitch Martinez in the story telling contest was also given to the audience while brilliant answer in the extemporaneous speaking contest was uttered by Ronald Ortiz.
The participants were mentored by Ms. Michelle Nemez, Ms. Valerie Ann Inocente, Ms. April Laine Dagcuta and Mr. Hector Ortega.
The First DAPRISA Literary Musical Festival was slated last February 21, 2014 at three (3) different venues. The song solo, duet, instrumental solo, and battle of the bands were held at Philippine Nikkei Jin Kai International School, while International speech choir, oratorical and extemporaneous speaking contests were held at Christian School of Davao, whereas modern dance and jazz chants were held at South Point School.
